Private Car Restrictions on Fuji-Subaru Line during Official Climbing Season
The Fuji-Subaru Line (5th Station Tollway on Yamanashi side -- Access to Yoshida Guchi Trail) restricts the use of private vehicles during peak season to limit the impact on the environment and to ease congestion. Resrictions are active July 5th to September 10th 2024.
Restrictions on Private Vehicles
All personal motorized vehicles, including kei-cars and motorcycles/scooters, are restricted from using the Fuji-Subaru Line during the restricted period (July 5th (from 6pm) - September 10th (until 6pm) 2024).
Exceptions are Electric Vehicles (EVs), Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs), buses, including micro-buses with 11 people or more capacity, and taxis. Must obtain permission from Yamanashi Prefecture at Fujisan Parking, where the vehicle will be confirmed.
Parking and Shuttle Buses, 2024 Climbing Season
Parking during the restriction period will be available at Fujisan Parking Lot next to the Fujiyoshida Expressway Interchange.＜外部リンク＞
Parking is 1000yen.
Roundtrip Shuttle buses to the 5th Station will be available approximately every 30 minutes, see schedule below. 45 minute ride.
Round Trip Tickets 2500yen. Elementary students half price.

Buses to the Yoshida-Guchi 5th Station (Yamanashi Side) are availble from Fujisan Station and Kawaguchiko Station, as well as directly from Shinjuku Station.
