Pines Park
Pines Park (Suwa no Mori Koen) is a spacious park located in the Kamiyoshida district of Fujiyoshida about 10 minutes walk towards Mt. Fuji from Fuji Sengen Shrine. There are large gassy fields and wooded areas to walk through, picnic in, or to just spend some time outdoors kicking the old football around. You can see the top of Mt. Fuji peering over the pine trees. Entrance is free and it is open from 8:30am to 7pm from May 15th through August 31st. 830am to 630pm in September. 830am to 5pm from October to May. Pines Park is a great place to get away for some sunshine and quiet from the city.
